What Age Are High Sleeper Beds For?
A high sleeper bed can be described as a high bed that has been raised high off of the ground and is accessible by a ladder or steps. Essentially, a high sleeper bed, or a high bed, is a bunk bed without the bottom bunk and, instead, there will be a freshly created space in your child's bedroom. Perhaps you are thinking about getting a new bed for your child and the idea of a high sleeper bed is appealing, but you aren't sure whether or not your child is old enough.
High sleeper beds are safe beds but, on the whole, they should not be used by children under the age of six to reduce any risk of falling. You will need to make sure that whatever mattress you buy for a high sleeper bed sits below the guard rail to prevent your child from rolling out of bed at night. If your child is under six years old but you still want a bed that is both fun and functional, then why not consider a mid-sleeper bed which is a bed that has been raised off of the ground but is not as high as a high sleeper bed.
There are many reasons why you might want to purchase a high sleeper bed. Perhaps your child is ready to sleep in something a little bit more adventurous and you are prepared to free up some much-needed space in your child's bedroom. Here are some of our best-selling high sleeper beds for you to consider in further detail.
